BIGGEST SURPRISE AT EKO-LAS!
Presence of Hittner skidders was one of the biggest surprises at the Eko-Las Forestry Trade Show Exhibition in Swiebodzin, Poland. Until the last moments, polish contractors didn’t expect to see these machines in their country.
Hittner skidders were exhibited by Kompania Lesna Sp.j., one of the fastest developing polish supplier of forestry equipment. The company showed both models of Ecotrac skidders, the little 55V and the big 120V. The exhibition, conducted 9-11 September 2010, attracted - according to the organizers - about 6 thousand visitors from Poland and neighboring countries, mostly Germany. Over 120 companies exhibited their offer on some 55 thousand square meters of forest outside Swiebodzin (western Poland). Visitors could easily compare Hittner products with HSM (exhibited by Bobr Technika Lesna Bialystok) and LKT skidders (exhibited by OTL Jarocin and Silvapol Poznan). All potential custumers had a chance to see, touch and even drive a Hittner 120V skidder. Demonstrations were conducted by Robert Dabrowski (Kompania Lesna mechanic) and Pawel Skoczewski (forest machines driver and contractor). Hittner 55V was demonstrated on a Chieftain low-load
tractor-towed trailer, specially designed for transporting forestry equipment. Together with Hittner skidders, Kompania Lesna exhibited Palms, Vahva-Yussi and Mowi cranes and forwarding trailers, Belarus and Valtra tractors, Bala Agri Log splitters, Naarva cutting heads, Ilsbo mulching tools, forestry ploughs, winches and other accessories, as well as used mashinery, such as Rottne 2004 thinning harvester and Timberjack 810 forwarder. All machines could be seen in action, working in a demonstration forest just behind Kompania Lesna’s exhibition space.
